Default Polaris Modular Helmet...How is it?

Anyone have the new Polaris modular helmet...is it any good? Tried the HJC...it sucked. Don't want another cold helmet. Need some feedback before I buy another helmet.

I have been using one for a couple of years and they aren't that good. I don't think they even make them anymore if that tells you anything.Bottom line I would not buy another one.

My dad had the older style modular polaris helmet and loved it until he got hit off the sled at 50 by a deer and broke the latch part. (I guess that's why we need to wear helmets.) Was wondering the same about the new ones. I have an HJC and its the coldest thing I have worn, I'm better off with my MX helmet on cold days.

I got the 2011 modular helmet and I am happy with it, all season long I never had to plug in the heated shield. and I dont have to wear a balvaca it is a warm helmet.

No feedback on the modular, but I know the AF (anti-fog) was junk.

I've got an Arctic Cat TXI helmet with the electric shield, and I've also got a sno-x style helmet (Polaris helmet) with 509 goggles. Never thought I'd say it, but I actually prefer the goggle setup better. The only time I didn't care for the goggle set up was when we got caught in some sleet last season. Even in cold weather (-0F) it worked just fine.
