Default 12V DC Supply

I have a 2008 Yamaha Nytro that I want to add a 12V dc supply to so I can power up a heated shield. Where can I find the 12V supply on these sleds?

hahahahahahaahhahahaaha.....now that's funny. The 2008/2009 nytro's stator is barely big enough to heat the hand grips, and you want to add a heated shield? say bye-bye to ANY heat in the grips if you do that.

Yamaha put a larger stator in the nytros in 2010, so the handgrips actually work and headed sheilds could be added.

I dont think 08 had a acc. power outlet lead but if it does it is behind the pto side radiator mount and is a white lead with a white plug in the end of it. A acc 12 volt plug will install into it or you can cut it off and wire directly. You can also just run power from the battery.

Does`nt have to be DC, AC will work fine...
Heated sheilds are not sensitive to AC or DC..

The 08 Nytro was not wired for the 12 volt accesory but it can be added. The fuse box has an empty keyed 12 volt socket that is used in the newer sleds for the feed. A terminal end and lead wire needs to be installed into the block before adding a 3 amp fuse. I picked up what I needed at a local auto parts store for a couple dollars. It's a little more work to run the needed wire into the the fuse box but at least it's done right.
