Anyone looked into changing the weak 08/09 heated grips for MY 10 year grips to see if they have any more heat??

I wouldn't mess with that. Check out this link. Plug and play. http://www.yamaheater.com/ I have this on my Nytro and my brothers. The 2010 Yamaha fix will still not heat at below 3000 RPM. This kit is awesome. Gone are cold hands. Tons of info on this on the Totally Yamaha website in the 4 stroke area, general discussion. Need any other info just PM me. Rock is a great guy and will take care of you. Hope this helps...............Brian

The aftermarket ones, in the 2010 yamaha acc. cat, are RSI's.

You guys are going to love it. Turn it to the off (now the high setting) as soon as you start your sled. That way you have hot grips as soon as you get on. Before this they were barely warm and would not warm up till after your hands were froze. I ran this set up as soon as it came out and have no complaints...............Brian

$145 shipped is a ton of cash? The guy spent lots of time and money on this fix for us. He is the average Joe looking for a fix in his garage. I think he needs the money more than Yamaha to fix what they should of had right years ago. The Yamaha fix will not work much better at idle (warm up) before you get on the sled to ride.............Brian

Those who have run Yamaheater warmers, do you feel they are sufficient with the stock handguards?
