What year zrt 800 was the fast? I heard the first year 1995 were? Is that true?

bone stock i would say 95 or 96. 99 wasnt a bad year either. there isnt really much of a noticable power difference between the years

Wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it but yes, the 95's have slightly larger ports. The rest is up to you...i.e. set-up of everything...chassis, clutching ect.. but the old triples are heavy compared to the new stuff.

personally i dont really think it matters, like ive ridden 3 different stock zrt800s before and they all felt about the same power wise to me. i rode a 95 a 98 and a 99 and i diddnt really notice any difference, handling was obviously better on the 99 than the other two, but id say the 95 is the fastest on the lake because it sits lower than the other two.

I have a 99 with C&A pros on it and it flat out flies!!! Im actually considering selling because it is flat out bad on gas mileage!!
