You can send your ECU computer to the polaris racing department and have them put a little more boost into your turbo.

FST 06-09 Stage 1 reflash V1.1 Released 5 January 2009

As predicted, after 1 year of testing, we can release the reflash for everyone ...

Many have talked about that in Quebec and because some threads are talking about the reflash of FST,
I decided to put more efforts to be ready for the start of the new year.

The first reflash version Stage 1 FST Motronic M7.4.4 is available with 18.5 PSI of boost!!!

The specs :

For all models FST 2006 - 2009

18.5 PSI stable : 33.2 PSIA absolute

Optimised timing map for 93 octane gas, 1 degree timing less if 91 octane used

Max rev limit increased by 200 RPM

Power band from 5000 RPM to 8500 RPM ... orginal was topped at 8000 RPM

Startup fueling optimised to prevent sparkplug fooling ( 12.1 AFR original... now at 12.8 AFR )

No faults code

Overboost protection at 19 PSI ( fault code P0234) ( for those who wants to try manual boost controller, we don't want you to burn this perfect engine!!!

Better fuel economy in cruising mode ( less than 5 psi boost )

Entirely reversible reflash

For more infos PM me

I'm also presently testing Stage 2 and 3 for race applications

No you have to send ECU here for reflash and it help a little bit for backfire... but the ECU has been designed with fuel on deceleration to keep heat in the turbo for better response when you refloor the throttle... that's why you have backfires on deceleration...

Your dealer might be able to do the one that lets it build full boost for a little longer than 6 seconds, but the one that Yayou from polarisfiles does, really wakes them up.

The dealers can only install 1 program. Its the 08 EPA approved version with 4 seconds overboost. Unless you have a 09 FST which has a slightly different tune.

What does this reflashing cost and how many ponies does this add to the machine? Does it help lower end and mid range accelleration? How long does it take to reflash? Is it a relatively quick turnaround? Also, will this void our warrantee?

Thanks for the info!
