Couldnt have said it better myself, i also have an 08 yfz 450, honda is no where near what they were in the 80's and 90's, Do not see that being a good mesh for the snowmobile crowd that demands horsepower and reliability.

Im up in the air about the bonding myself, but there are millions of other products in several industries getting away from welds. The one dealer im referring to sells over 200 sleds a year, thats quite a bit for up here. I like the new cats furthermore, look awesome, have a chassis that rides well (a first for them) and its another company that employs people that i dont want to see go under. BUT reliabilty issues are killing them right now at least in my neck of the woods.

They are dropping cat because there is not much money in it vs selling something else. This a problem for every snowmobile manufacturer. See how fast most of these smaller dealers pick up another sled line after dropping one. They don't. I know someone that owns a large multi line dealership and the only reason he has snowmobile at all is to keep his good people employed during the winter. The 1 of the 2 dealers im referring to is a family friend, and his reason was due to warranty issues and cats unwillingness to reimburse him, corporate kept blaming issues on things like "snow dust", "lack of maintenance" and "rider error" im not sure what the"maintenance" on a 2013 consists of at this point of the season but just sayin, was his explanation to me. The other dealer was a guy he does dealer trades with...wasnt sure bout his reasoning.

Thats a good dealer, b.s. on hondas part! Brake cables are a lil different then jackshafts, shocks, electrical issues, various cracked aluminum pieces, drive belts...etc....He is an awesome dealer and does everything he can to make customer happy, just sucks he has to take alot out of pocket to keep cats problems from making people switch....should be their responsibility. Thats just how i see it.
