Cat will still be in business. They are losing the small dealers which sucks. However you still have the super store dealers.

Couldnt have said it better myself, i also have an 08 yfz 450, honda is no where near what they were in the 80's and 90's, Do not see that being a good mesh for the snowmobile crowd that demands horsepower and reliability.

If only they would glue all there sleds together they could've made it! Right? Quit agreeing with yourself there's a world out there.

Im up in the air about the bonding myself, but there are millions of other products in several industries getting away from welds. The one dealer im referring to sells over 200 sleds a year, thats quite a bit for up here. I like the new cats furthermore, look awesome, have a chassis that rides well (a first for them) and its another company that employs people that i dont want to see go under. BUT reliabilty issues are killing them right now at least in my neck of the woods.

Cat isnt going anywhere. Dealers of all makes are dropping like flies right now. Dealers aren't dropping cat because of back ordered parts, warranty, ect. Believe that if you want. They are dropping cat because there is not much money in it vs selling something else. This a problem for every snowmobile manufacturer. See how fast most of these smaller dealers pick up another sled line after dropping one. They don't. I know someone that owns a large multi line dealership and the only reason he has snowmobile at all is to keep his good people employed during the winter. He calls his snowmobile side "loss minimization'

The 1 of the 2 dealers im referring to is a family friend, and his reason was due to warranty issues and cats unwillingness to reimburse him, corporate kept blaming issues on things like "snow dust", "lack of maintenance" and "rider error" im not sure what the"maintenance" on a 2013 consists of at this point of the season but just sayin, was his explanation to me. The other dealer was a guy he does dealer trades with...wasnt sure bout his reasoning.

I had Honda deny new me a new brake cable saying lack of maint. The machine was only 2 months old. Dealer paid for it.

Thats a good dealer, b.s. on hondas part! Brake cables are a lil different then jackshafts, shocks, electrical issues, various cracked aluminum pieces, drive belts...etc....He is an awesome dealer and does everything he can to make customer happy, just sucks he has to take alot out of pocket to keep cats problems from making people switch....should be their responsibility. Thats just how i see it.

You need to talk too Poo owner's out west and ask them how Poo warranties all the bad version's of there 800 since 2010. Now we have glue that didn't set on driveshafts, its so bad on Snowest they've created a subfolder at the top of there forum to deal with it. Ever rode a trailing arm indy now there's crappy!
