I am looking at making my own salt shield out of 1/8" aluminum checker plate, have acces to a break. Just wondering if anyone has measurements/angles that I can use to make life easier for this construction.

My friend'd dad made one of of those blue heavy plastic barrel people use to put sand and salt in. Cut int in half and filled the gap in the middle with a smaller peice worked/works great....sorry no pics
