Default Clam shell trailers

Hey guys, what can you tell me about these trailers (good/bad). Tossed the idea of buying an aluminum 2 place trailer. Thought to myself, if buying a 2 place trailer, why not buy a clam shell and benefit having the sleds undercover! I searched two ad websites(private sales) locally and never found one for sale. People must really like them! I`m in Canada, what is the going rate for a used two place clamshell in really good shape??
Post pics if you own one and any great mods you have done to it to make it even better. Thanks,Darcy

I have a 10' triton 2 place clam shell, Wished it was a 12'. The one thing I added to mine was to add the gas piston to keep the trailer in the up position when empty otherwise you need someone around to hold the bed down while you load the first sled. The superclamps for the skis are nice too but that is for any trailer.
I had a really good deal on my trailer and it was only a year old when i picked it up. typically $1800 - $2200 in good shape.

I have had a few 10' Triton trailers one with a Bearcat top and one with a Triton top both were great trailers. I do agree with above post about adding gas shock to hold up trailer to load.

One just sold around me for $1650 and was a 09 Triton, with at Triton top, wish I would of known he was going to let it go that cheap as he listed it for $2500 I would of bought it and sold it for a few more hundred dollars. I think it was worth $2000 this time of year.

I have a 10' Yacht Club with sled deck clamshell. I also wish I has a 12' because some of the crossover sleds will not fit in a 10'. I will never pull sleds on an open trailer. $1500-$2000 USD is what used ones are going for.

I`m thinkin so!
I just phoned a Triton sales rep. Theye didn`t have the clamshells, but the standard 2 place trailers are $2150. Anyone in the states, care to run a clamshell up here, since they sell so dam cheap down there. lol

2003 COVERED 2 PLACE SNOWMOBILE TRAILER - Saskatoon Cargo, Utility Trailers For Sale - Kijiji Saskatoon Canada.

2012 Triton Aluminum TC11 Enclosed Snowmobile Trailer - Saskatoon Cargo, Utility Trailers For Sale - Kijiji Saskatoon Canada.

Thats all I found in Saskatchewan and manitoba.
You Americans close to the Canada border could make a killing buying these cheap clamshell trailers and bring them up here. They are hard to find used.

The scalped guy thread said it was a low profile trailer i'm guessing drive on drive off style.. you have a large opening with a clamshell

I have a 10' Triton with the Triton Top, and was real concerned that my 2011 skidoo 1200 Renegade wouldn't fit........ But it does..... with 2" to spare
