I have no clue, everything is mint.. years ago the salvage yards were getting 4-5 hundred for a good running motor and 2-3 hundred for the tranny.. just wondering if that value has gone up or down these days? kinda want to know what the going rate is?

deal is we have a street stock dirt car that we have a ton of money into the chassis, roll bar, supension, wheels and tires, the whole 9 yards,, and I'm thinking about pulling the motor and trans and saving them for our 1971 nova ss or if nothing else just parting the stock car out and selling stuff seperately..

been getting offers of 2 grand for the whole car complete but have over 6 grand into the car..

so I don't know

depends on how bad someone wants it. 1000-1500 bucks for both would be a good starting price. pretty soon you won't be able to buy these mills new, anywhere. i recently priced a used trans for a customer of mine(97 Cherokee) and the yards around here wanted 600-800 bucks.

If it was the four bolt main block, mostly pickup truck blocks,it should be worth more in a performance application. plowking

ok so $600-$700 for a solid 350 you can hear run/drive is a easy deal and around $200-$300 for the transmission... does that sound fair and should be a quick sale? just curious

thanks
