Need help with this problem for anyone out there that likes physics or anyone that knows how to do it. Im stumped.

The question is this: Two small spheres spaced 20.0 centimeters apart have equal charge. How many excess electrons must be present on each sphere if the magnitude of the force of repulsion between them is 4.57 * 10^-21 newtons?

good luck,

Thanks in advance,

Zack

I didn't bring my physics book home tonight, but

F = k (q1q2)/r^2

k is a given constant, which is equal to something like 1/(4(pie)(epsilon knot)).

Simple Coulomb's Law. Remember to convert r to meters. Wait until you get to Gauss's law.....
