Total waste of money but you cant take it with you and the kids will just fight over it. There are a couple of things that are not original but i think its a very good base.
When i was 15 i looked at one of these brand new at the dealer and said i was going to own one someday. I know its sad and pathetic that one goal was to own a stupid 3 wheeler.
I wasn't searching daily, but didn't see them pop up too often in the midwest. It is very clean and was only a 2 hr drive from my house. I will work to making it 100% original over the next couple of years. Something to idle around not drive seriously, things are death traps!

Looks good, should be a fun project.

We had a Yamaha 200e or something like that when I was a kid. Had big balloon tires, thing was a death trap. Dad sold after a couple weeks/near death experiences.

I saw too many rolled over 3 wheelers to want one. Had friends who were hurt on them even.

Careful....

got thrown off, run over by my friends 200x as a kid. I am well aware of how dangerous they are, that is why i said it isn't a serious driver, something to clean up and put on shelf. .

They're definitely hazardous, definitely helps to know how to ride them.

You have to hang waaaaaaay off the machine on the inside of corners (inside of your knee hooking the seat), and countersteer and slide the rear simultaneously. Fun as hell when you get the hang of it, used to thrash our old 185S back in the day.

As in 30+ years ago....

Yep they were the craze when I turned 18-20.....Friends were breaking bones like crazy. I sold my 250 Tacate after a couple of weeks. Bought a 400RM dirt bike and sold that after the second ride. Thank God Quads came around.

That's a nice unmolested original looking bike...I had an 84 Tecate and an 86 250R back in the day and would love to pick up an 87 Tecate.
