Been a huge fan since I first heard Temple Of The Dog. Really snagged me in when he teamed up with the Rage boys for Audioslave. Some hated the grunge sound, some loved it. No matter what, Chris had a unique voice that will set him apart forever. Like Bon, like Janis, many will imitate, but it will not be the same. God bless your family Chris Cornell

Man what a shame. Almost put me to tears. Glad I had a chance to see him. Coolest was at Pearl Jam 20 when he got on stage. Eddie Vetter and Chris Cornell live was one of the coolest sounds I have ever heard. I can't imagine how bad the demons have to be to have it all and still have nothing. Last song of his set last night, In My Time of Dying. Fuckna...... RIP Chris. You have left a huge impact on many.

Today really sucked for me.

This morning I'm in the bathroom getting ready for work, and I'm yelled the question from the kitchen: "Do you know who Chris Cornell is? He died last night." I thought, damn, he's not much older than me. It threw me into a funk that's lasted all day.

Of course, I knew who he was since I have been into Soundgarden since the late '80s, before they made it big. In my college band, we played a couple of their tunes and they were a major influence on some original material. Easily my favorite grunge band by far. Brought back a ton of great memories from my 20s.

RIP, Chris.
