I think this is a good thing. Arctic Cat as brand has only been known as snowmobiles. just ask any one off the street when they hear the name arctic cat. The same reason Skidoo calls their atv line can-am. Cat could have been great with ATVs but when you sit on your hands for over 10 years while the ATV market is exploding this is what happens. Cat did a great job at being a good atv that excelled at nothing and never changed it. The others found their nitch and built on it.

Arctic cat brand loyalist are the most blind brand loyalist there is. Time to come to reality Arctic cat isn't Arctic cat anymore. It is Textron. Wouldn't be surprised if the sled division gets sold off in a few years. Probably to Yamaha...

the cat name will probably be sold in 10 years or less as this is what textron does. Yamaha wont buy it. If yamaha was going to buy it they would have before textron did and I do not see yamaha buying anything from textron. Cat offered nothing to yamaha.

On snogoers article about this, they posted quotes from the textron meeting and they mentioned how textron has been looking at purchasing cat for years. guess they were just circling like vulchers until they hit rock bottom and the price was right! lol

Hopefully with textron they will build some competitive machines to maybe help keep prices of competitors under control?
