Red Wing Irish Setters is the boot that I have been using for the last 20 years.

My only concern with ski boots would be getting my toe stuck in the foot well in a tipping situation with the stiff uppers.

Most snowboard boots are superior to the stiffer snowmobile specific offerings....HMK is junk. I've been running 32 snowboard boots for the last 8 years. I am not a fan of the BOA as I have broke more then a few adjusters off, check out the fast lace system, it works way better. These boots are also very light.

bought a pair of HMK Boa boots as I got them dirt cheap , lightly used. Havent used them enough yet to get used to them - bulky and stiff, comfortable to ride in but not so much for walking around

I tried snow board boots once (got 'em on closeout for like $40), they were great for stand-up riding and flat out sucked for sit down riding.

I posted them and sold them on Craig's List for $60.

I've worn all kinds of boots... any of you remember "moon boots" back in the 70's? Currently wearing Klim

I love my Irish Setter hunting boots. Warm and comfortable to walk in, and goretex. But I don't want to tear them up.

I personally don't want a stiff boot - definitely not a snowboard boot. I would like a light weight, waterproof, warm boot... I want to be able to walk comfortably and drive the truck in them, then jump on the sled and go.

Why can't someone make those?
