Riding since 1968. 10s of thousands of miles of riding & still learning.
Pulled off the trail to make a suspension adjustment.
Michigan this weekend out of McMillan north 7.5 miles.
To the stranger from Anarbor ? Mi that stopped to help me. Another big thank you.
The guy walks over to help & goes through the ice up to his waist in a heartbeat. Could not tell where it was.
Got out of it with a broken mirror.
What a experience. Beware all of u.

It tried to commit suicide after being ridden down that muddy path...

Glad you and the sled are ok!

I am not sure if that is good luck or bad luck
The same thing could have happened to me, seems like a random spot for a 3 foot deep 2 foot wide hole. I woulndt expect that any more than an anvil dropping out of the sky and landing on me like the old road runner and coyote cartoons

So what was it you fell into? I am looking at the pics wondering if that was a creek running through a field or just random hole or what.

Glad he's ok. Not unusual to see days like that around here when spring riding....been there....happen to me on a reservoir years ago in quebec when traveling across during a white out....wandered off the main trail too far and fell into a 10 ft open hole left when the reservoir was lowered and hit the real ice below. I was more surprised what just happened.
