Charcoal is to much work in the winter....I'll go for a hundred mile ride at zero, but I won't go outside to start the charcoal 10 minutes before I grill. It's cold out there!

Default Gas or charcoal

I use both but prefer charcoal. I've had a small Weber for years but a couple of years ago i got a Weber Performer. Uses propane to light the coals & your good to go in no time at all.
I'm outside in sub zero F temps grilling all winter long.

Prefer charcoal 99% of the time, but use gas occasionally

Charcoal and Weber only. Grill and smoker. Just did three racks of bb's last Sunday and I will have both the grill and smoker rolling on Thanksgiving day.

Gas is for in the kitchen, charcoal is the only real grilling. Or maybe wood, never seen/done/had that.

Yes I did forget, honestly figured that anybody who knows would automatically assume, that yes, charcoal is only to get the wood going and keep some heat, in the smoker. Apple or hickory is mainly what I use here. Some cherry and mesquite every now and then.
