No I'm not going to pretend like I know exactly what got us here. I do know it was not one thing, person, or political party that got us here.

You should go back and look at some of my posts What are you calling bullshit on

The fact is I don't like anybody milking the system - including corporatations and the wealthy elite - but the vitrol and focus on this forum is on the poor and minorities who abuse the system. Is there abuse and people using the system that should not be, absolutely. I don't like it or agree with it - at the same time the wealthy elite and corporate America are paying lobbyists, writing tax laws, creating loopholes, and stacking the deck in their favor and most people on this forum are to spineless and would piss themselves if they had to speak truth-to-power

I call bullshit on all the right-wing posters on here who don't have the gonads to direct their anger towards people with power who have outsourced jobs, bundled and sold mortgages, paid lobbyists to keep stacking the deck against the middle class, etc. Any pussy can pick on the down trodden - but it takes conviction to speak truth-to-power - and I see a lot of the former on here

The following is the part most of you miss:

Government Spends More on Corporate Welfare Subsidies than Social Welfare Programs » Think by Numbers

if you really believe that 'corporate welfare' exceeds entitlement spending,
that lakefront property in antarctica is still available.

Look it up. Bush made the changes in it, then Clinton made even more. I guess it was 1938
