I bought this back in the fall, works great. I'm not sure, but it seems like there's a little bit of a vibration, a feeling through the handle bars. How noticeable is it when one of the balancing cogs is gone? When they're gone does it shake really bad or does the engine fly apart when they're gone or bad?

If that is the problem you should pull it a part and fix it now before it breaks the case.

there's just a very slight vibration when it's idling. i guess that's normal because i checked my buddy's 1000 and it's the same. the reason i'm wondering is my fuel pressure gauge is bouncing back and forth, it's hard to read it. anybody else having this trouble with a fuel pressure gauge on a 1000?

I have rebuild 4 of these sleds now. If you have a fuel pressure gauge on your sled and it goes from weak pressure to spiked pressure. STOP RIDING IT!!! This is a failure when your sleds running you should have constant fuel pressure if not you have a bad fuel pump when this happens it leans down your sled and it goes boom. The mach z 1000 is a great sled as longs as you know it will blow up at some point and you better have extreamly deep pockets. Its like a Grenade with the pin pulled its only time. Bring this to your local dealer and have it looked at. Oh and the vibration in the handle bars its 100% normal.
