Default Correct jetting/clutching slp triple pipes

I have an 85 Indy 600 triple and I ordered some triple pipes from SLP. I'm at martin snow show and there is cheap weights/springs. Could probably find jets too. Can anyone tell me what ones I need?

I got them from someone with no paperwork. Can't seem to find it online. Besides I'm pretty sure SLP don't produce these pipes anymore, could be wrong

Starting Line Products - Technical Information

Oldest thing I could find is for the 88+ 650's. Probably really close.

I found that a few minutes ago after spending 45min on their website! The 650 pipes will work on the 600, infact, aaen uses the same exact pipes for the 600-650-RXL. This has to have been done before! Do you think the 50cc makes a difference in jetting or clutching?

rule of thumb if you don't know the jetting spec's. is to go two jet sizes up from stock to start with. slp's recomedation is usally on the safe rich side. almost every time i piped a sled i ended up with jetting that was alittle diferent from the pipe mfg. basicly the plugs and wash need to be checked in the coldest temp. you will be riding at. in all throttle ranges.1/4,1/2,3/4, and full. the clutching is another story. you need to know what rpm's the pipes make peak power at to get it right. or it will take some time and money to get it right.

I purchased a set for my 86 600 earlier this year and asked SLP for tuning info on it. They told me they didn't have any information on them...

Civic they don't because they didn't make them for the 600. Being they are the same pipe as 650 I'm going to assume the clutching will be the same, or very very close. Thank you all! Gotta see what size I have now. Do I run different jets in different cylinders? I have heard of certain ones running hotter/needing bigger jet?

I would start with the 650 settings and it should be very close. Probably have to jet down a step or two and maybe take a couple grams out of the weights to be perfect.

The guys at SLP are very good about helping out with older stuff, If you need info on older stuff ask to talk to Jim Fairchild, Not sure on the spelling.
