Lets see what you guys have for Xcr 800s.
Phil, my XCR 1250 weighs 573 lbs. or 98 Lb.s lighter than my 2000 XCR 800, both fully studded, and all liquids, and has oversize diameter titanium jackshaft and axle. Please talk to Madcow! He gears up to prevent too much low end torque being applied to the track! Just Kidding MC.
Phil
BTW, saw two 300 hp RX-1/Apex turbo custom chassis ice drag sleds with nitrous destroy a couple of really fast nitrous drag sleds at Phatman last weekend. Belts seem to last fine on all of them. 1.20 sec 60ft times. High 4 secs and 140 mph in 660. Chassis flex coupled with short belts (1080) may be the culprit in these heavy trail type sleds Don. The BIL has an Edge chassised 1000 and it too has had a lot of belt breakage issues. In fact, the belt rolled right over in the clutches at the drags. My higher powered 1100 had no problems.[/b]
I made one of those yesterday for my XC, today I might make another for the 1250 XCR.Here is your answer to secondary movement...[/b]
Here's a quote from New England Dyno News in 1993: "Titanium's shear and tensile strength will match or exceed steel, but, it's rigidity (stiffness, Young's Modulus of Elasticity) is about HALF that of steel. Titanium will also flex like a spring". Need I say more?Phil, my XCR 1250 weighs 573 lbs. or 98 Lb.s lighter than my 2000 XCR 800, both fully studded, and all liquids, and has oversize diameter titanium jackshaft and axle.

HTG sold a system like that around 2003,, I contacted the manufacture and was told it took out crankshafts.[attachment=485920:im000050.jpg]
Hey Don, ever think about a similar bracket only with a bearing on both ends and attach it between the two clutches. Just a thought.[/b]

Not sure what you mean,, I make the ones from secondary to left foot area, like in the picture.Never fails, just when I thought I had a good idea.
What about the bracket between the clutches then to the bulkhead.[/b]
That would be a pillow block,, I haven't but I should.Nice work Don! Did you ever try adding a bearing near middle of jack shaft? We did that on a sled with a titanium jack shaft it helped alot.[/b]
Hi Joe here I just picked up came today 3 lectrons bored to 46 mm with power jets they are going on a 800 xcr slp porting pipes heads any idea what metering pin I might need? Ihave NO exp. with these carbs any help would be appreciated. Thanks JoeSize for size, most carbs will show the same hp at peak rpm. However, COLD engine response is the difference in the real world. Megatrons SUPPOSEDLY have better response, but BOSWELLS are even better. I've tested them all.[/b]

Thanks I'll give htg a call and you're right it was a pillow block but for a million bucks I couldn't think of that word now I'll be able to sleep with out trying to think of it.Good Luck, We sold all Lectrons, Megatrons, and Cutlers..
I would ask HTG, they'll have the right info on them.[/b]

Don, looking at that shaft brace, what is it anchored too near the left foot area.. ??
I have to imagine some additional added support in that area?
