Unhappy

does anyone know what the stock primary spring color is,and what size weights (in grams),stock secondary spring color, and helix.
the reason i want to know is because i just purchased a2003 edge x 600 and the sled would not do over 70 mph. i took it back to the dealer and he messed with the clutching for about 3 hours.then he said that ought to do.wrong, rode it again tonight and my buddies edge x 500 walks all over it.thats sad.when he started with it i noticed it had a blue spring in it.now it has a white spring in it.the dealer said he changed the weights and spring.its still not right.it now will do 80 mph.and that is all. will the clutching off of the edge x 500 work on the 600 edge x.what i am saying stock for stock are these clutch components the exact same.thanks for any info.

Clutches are the same but internally components are different.Weights would be lighter in the 500.If you swapped weights you could try his clutch to see if yours is binding.I think stock weights for your 6 was 58's but most guys run 60's or 62's with almond blue.Is your present spring off-white as in almond color???What are you running for rpm at WFO?????Something majorly wrong here.Did he check the secondary out at all??

almond is the color and as far as i know he did not check the secondary.rpms are around 9000 and that is way to high.the deal is with this guy is that i beat him down so bad on his price that now he is just putting in parts that he has in his drawer.thats why i want to know what stock clutching is,so i can throw it in his face.thanks

WAYY to high on the rpm.I think(off the top of my head)10-58's blue/white and an R-8 silver/blue.Try 10-60's almond/blue and silver/blue #2 hole with the r-8.

I am not sure about the 03 600, but the 02 600sp comes with the blue/white-58 weights in the primary, and silver/blue-R-11 helix in the secondary.
The 02 500sp comes with the blue/white-54 weights, and the silver/blue- R-8 helix.

Stock weights for a 600 are 10-58s. Not sure about what the stock spring is though. Just put a Polaris almond/blue spring with 10-60 weights in it and as long as the sled runs decent you should be able to eat that 500 for breakfast.

Sounds like a great way to treat someone you expect to get something fixed for you? WTF? You should start doing your own work or it will end up costing you in the long run, the dealer will get you ($$$) in the end.
