Hey everyone...

I would like to remove the seat on my '98 xc 700 to have it recovered.. I looked under the tunnel for the tipicle bolts to undo to slip the seat off, but did not see any .. Can someone tell me how to get the seat off so I can send it to the upholstry shop...

Thanx... Jon

There should be 2 bolts right towards the very back of the tunnel, 3/8" I think they are. Keep looking, they should be there.

They should be up there under the tunnel in back. I can't remeber if there is a front bolt ? Its' fairly easy.

You can buy replacement covers and rent a upholstry stapler if you so desire. I got mine sent from royal distributing in Ont.

I did my 99 xc 500 learned a couple things but overall it went well and looked good :div20:
