I have an 08 apex , I have tried c&a pro razers , snotrackers , cobra skags and the simmons ski's. the simmons are the best bang for the buck, they are very aggresive, require more steering effort , you may need to play with your toe to find the sweet spot, they are the best that I have found so far . hope this helps

I can't comment about use on a Apex, but will say I think that Simmons are great trail skis. They track very well on hardpack trails. I also find them to work very well as snow conditions change throughout the day.... they always seem to track well and act predictable. The only complaint I have is sometimes I feel they could be a bit more aggresive in the corners.

Most of my group runs the SLP Powder Pro skis for regular trail riding. We have bergstrom carbides on them. This is about a $500 setup with the skis being $300 shipped from eBay and the carbides are about $200.

We have 5 07-09 Apex sleds running this setup. I also have a friend running the same skis on his 11 XTX and he loves them as well. Sled handles like it is on rails!

Try a set of SkiDoo Pilot 5.7's if u don't need deep snow floation and if u do go to the Pilot 6.7's
You might have to machine a pivot sleeve for the spindle.

I have tried both on my 06 apex, and went with the Simmons. For some reason c&a rzr's worked better on my nytro, and the Simmons worked great with my apex. No darting, easy steering on hard pack, and powder. The only negative is in very icey corners, they slide and push a little too much for my liking, but overall a great ski for the apex. Btw I was running 6" shaper carbides from John masters.

If you want to save a few bucks and get a similar sk that handles great on the apex try the ski doo mountain ski out of their catalog. Know some guys in TY that have done this with success. They are very similar in design to Simmons which work great
