Default Dupont Vespel Sliders Reviews???

For those who have used the new dupont vespel sliders I'm curious as to what your thoughts are on them. Are they worth the $$$. I'v had some of the normal apex slider problems but have learned to adapt. I find loosing the track a little below specs is the biggest help with no negative effect. I'll be changing my sliders for the forth time with 7200 miles and am debating the new duponts. Any comments would be appreciated. Happy Sledding!!!!!

I just got home from riding and saw some very hard cold conditions this past week. So far i can say these new dupont slides are fantastic compaired to stock slides. The stock slides just cant compare, I put 1000 miles on them in hard conditions and they show zero signs off wear. - Just incredable - I am very happy to say the least.............

Default Thanks for the Reply....

I just rebuilt my rear shock and when I put my skid back in I went with the graphite this time around. I'll have to pull out the skid again this summer to do some repair work then I'll make my decision. I've heard mixed reviews on these and some neg info. was from an experienced tech. But I like to hear what the people using them have to say, so +1 for dupont based on your thread.

Enjoy your winter!!!!!

There was one guy on upgrades section said they were no good wore out in 300'miles he obviously had track way to tight or running on dry gravel road in summer the new slides are very slow wearing

I put on the DuPont sliders on last year. So far so good, but what I have read over on the Totally Yamaha forum is that once the DuPont inserts wear through, the rest on the slides were down super fast. You really have to a attention to when the DuPont inserts are getting close to being gone, because once they wear through, your mileage is limited.
