Ok So i have a 2003 RX-1,im planning on replacing my heat exchanger due to studs pulling out of track and goin through radiator.Is this something i can do at home?I have done all previous work on sled.Do i have to pull the engine out for this?Any help from u guys would be greatly apprechiated.

how did studs hit running board heat exchanger?? or optional heat exchanger @ snow flap?

Studs were installed by previous owner and did a shitty job.It hit the one in front of the track,i guess that be the optional one.it dont look like a fun job,but its gotta get done.

My brother had a pick go though his exchanger in his mach z when he had it and he just got it welded. took the skid out an brought it on a trailer. if its not a real big tear you could probably go that route.

This is what i'm doing on my 08 APEX right now..


good luck trying to take it out...

It's rivetted about 100 times and the motor would need to come out..

looks like the first piece they installed...

So i took the track off and got some Aluminum Welding Rods.. going to weld it up tonight..

I'm sure any product like this should work fine...


Also it's a good time to do your Clutch Side drive and jack bearings..
