Outside of buying a $500 boss tall seat is there any other sleds seats that will fit my stock 05 RX1 that are TALL like the attack's seats? In other words will a tall seat off from an attack or apex fit an RX1? Or can it be made to fit with little modifications? I want to look on ebay for a taller seat, however I dont know what will fit or not. Im new to the Yamaha camp. Thank you in advance.

Read the post above this one about putting foam in a stock seat. Very easy to do. Or go on Totally Yamaha, there is someone there who did it and posted all the pictures and step by step directions how to do it yourself.

Any Attack or Apex seat will fit your RX1. All you have to do is trim the gas tank cover. If you search around on http://www.ty4stroke.com/, you will find a number of posts on this mod. Attack/Apex seats are going for around $300 in good shape. G.B.

I tried the adding foam too! It works out quite well. I put in 4 " but still it is not like putting the apex seat on. The Rx is now just right with the seat taller and also the bars higher. Took a lot of pressure off the hips! night and day diff!! DO IT!!!

Where can I find one for that price? ANyone here have one for sale? All back will work but black in silver is what I need. I have been watching Ebay but nothing yet.

They dont last long. Snow West, Ebay, and Totally Yamaha are your best bet. I dont believe Yamaha made an all black seat. Black/Silver and Black/Blue are mostly what I see for sale. Good luck. G.B.
