How easy or hard is it to change oil and filter on the rx1? Is it better to bring it to the dealer? Anybody have detailed instructions on how to change oil and filter?

I can tell you how. Take the right side off. You will find an oil can there. On the bottom there is a drain plug. Turn out with a open end. Then under the sled there is a hatch open it. You will see a BIG bolt undo that. Than go to the hood, pull the air box out, than you will see the battery, pull this out. You will see the oil filter.

Its pretty simple. Take your time and youll be done in under an hour. Go to Yamaha.com and you can read how to do it right out of the manual. Ive done several oil changes now and it only takes about 25-30 minutes!!
