Default 2012 polaris shift 600

What would be a real good deal on a new 2012 polaris shift 600. What are people paying out there, dealer is willing to work with me but need a ballpark figure to tell him what would make me pull the trigger on buying a new sled.

I'd tell him right off the bat that you will only pay $7000 out the door. You also tell him that you have your own way to finance and you get your own or else you pay cash or check. Then see what they say.

$7627 that the other guy paid is a good deal. I'd settle for that too because when I bought mine I think the retail was $1000 less.

Call around to different dealers and get different prices. The last toy that I bought was an 800 Rzr that I got for about $2000 under retail or more, I can't remember. I called a guy 4+ hours away and he was going to deliver it for free. I was going to pull the trigger and the local guy called me back with a better warranty and about $20 cheaper overall. You gotta play the game if you want a good deal.

not that this is a 2012 but i got my 09 shift new for 6700 out the door that had graphics and hand gaurds already on the sled so your talking a few hundred dollards of addons. i'm betting with a crappy winter so far dealers are starting to feel the pinch to get these sleds out in time to put atvs and motorcycles back in there show room in about a month and a half from now you should get a good deal. Rember he has to sell this stuff to make a living you dont have to buy crap!

I saw on supertrax web site that there prediction for 2013 is the shift is getting redesign with the pro-ride front clip and coupled back that would be sweet. I hope....

That would be nice but I bet the price tag goes up too!

Why the heck do we pay so much $ for something that we can only ride a few times a year?

Cause it's fun as hell.

I thought I read somewhere that Polaris is cancelling the IQ chassis and going to prorides?

I asked myself the same thing before I sold my '01 600XCSP in '06 due to several years of sparse snow.

Now I ask myself again.....

I struggle with this. I really like the IQ chasis. I hope the proride is everything they say it is.

Talk to any polaris dealer and they will tell you other wise. Polaris is not likely going to change to the Pro Ride on the shift unless they are willing to slash the price. The whole point of the shift is the price point. They sell as sleds that people can upgrade so they can save money on the front end. Polaris already has the stock Pro Ride chassis with fox shocks. The Pro Rides are more expensive to make so the price would go up like the other Pro Ride sleds. Not everyone is willing to pay 10k for a new sled.

As far as the price for a new shift. Bristows Inc in StCloud Mn has it listed at 6799 and i know for a fact you could get 200 off that price no question asked. This is a bad winter and dealers want to move sleds. Also likely get a cover and belt included with that.
