Default OTP performance clutch kit

so, i have one of these in my dragon 600. the only problem is that it turned my sled into a dog on the low end and i lost about 5 mph top end but it's fast as hell mid-range. that doesn't make up for the huge decrease in performance in other areas. i'm considering putting the OEM parts back in. anybody have any info as to what i could do to fix this problem?

HMMMM....I just installed the same kit on my 08 D6, I havn't had a chance to try it out yet, but Gabes told me I should see improved performance across the board - maybe he will chime in here. What weights are you running? Gabes told me to put in 10-62's which I did.

yeah, i put 10-62's in. when i first tested it out, the sled seemed faster but after a years worth of riding, i was able to determine that it's slower low end. i was able to get the sled up to 103 before the kit and now, i can't get it above 98. take off is so damn unimpressive that it actually pisses me off.

If your running the same springs from 2 or 3 seasons ago you need to get new ones asap. It may not be the clutch there are many other possibilties. A friend who is running my old fuse felt it was slowing down last season so we serviced the clutch put fresh springs in as well as finding out his exhaust was leaking in three places!

there are 1500 miles on the springs, they shouldn't need to be changed already. i also am running a slp blue/pink clutch spring in the primary instead of the green team spring that gabes sent me. the blue/pink is 140/340 instead of 140/330

At 1,500 miles the springs will lose 15-20% full shift tension when compared to new ones.

how much of a difference would adding epi belly buster compared to regular polaris clutch weights? would it be worth the money? i would put 10-64's back in with the stock parts.

Springs can be touchy, some aftermarket companies do not check pre-load and fullshift tensions at the same heights as OEM springs. I've had the best luck with OEM, at least you know what you have.

I test all new springs on my Rimac tester, even 2 springs with the same part number will be different between them, almost everytime.
