is there anywhere to get this or purchase and also the cable to hook up?would be nice to be able to check a few things without having to take to dealer all the time.dealer is pretty busy this time of the year.

When EFI and electronic controlled sleds were forced on us our ability to do many repairs ourselves ended, get ready to pay $100-$125 per hour to have some 18 year old kid fix your sled after a plug and play connection he's made..I'm sticking with carbs as long as possible.

thats the real problem is that dealers really dont have a good grasp on how things work so alot of the times there guesing what to do and the way i understand theres vary little help from factory.im in the electronic and mechanical field but dont have access to the tools to work on them.my dealer is real good at letting me be there when where trying to fix but hes also got alot on his plate especially this year with all the snow.the problem i have is that sled back fires often when coming to a stop after longer runs also seems to kind of load up at slow speeds it clears up right away when you open throttle up but in twist trails king of tough either going like hell or nothing.where do you start injectors leaking,tps incorrect,did reeds get damaged from backfiring?so many variables now.

I expect / hope it's only a matter of time before someone leaks this stuff out so we can get hacked versions, only problem will be with software updates. They must be a disgruntled Polaris employee somewhere with access to this stuff.

All you need is the module and CAN cable (assuming you have a computer) - Then go down to your local computer store and get a serial cable or serial to usb converter (a quality one). Cost should be about $300.

Then comes the hard part.... How to get the software. You'll need 3.2 of digital wrench then the 01/14/10 update (update is free and can be found here : http://www.polaris.diagsys.com/ ).

If your really good friends with your dealer you can borrow his copy and and "assuming" he has an unused license, load it on your computer and use thire key code (because they are licenced for 3 computers per copy).

Now after you've done all this all you can do is view status, read and clear error codes, get a copy of the service manual and run reports. Installing new maps to the ECU will require connection to the Polaris dealer web site for an "authorization code". That requires the dealers ID and other info.

Im with you on the carbs. That is why and I hope I do not need it but. A aftercare warranty for 4 years after the manufactures one is up.
