2010 600 CFI 2 Dragon Smoked a 09 XP 600 E-TEC on a long hard packed road

A 2010 600 CFI 2 Dragon Switchback with a 136" x 1.25 track Smoked a 2009 XP 600 ETCH with a 120" x 1.0" track from 20 MPH to 98 MPH per Dragon's speedometer and the XP indicated 110 MPH.

The 2010 600 CFI 2 engine has a very broad torque curve from 7500 rpm to 8200 rpm the torque does not drop more then a few ft/lbs, engine ran EXCELLENT!

The 2010 D6 had a P2 clutch that was tuned for very fast trail. Appeared to have twice as much trail running torque as my 09 600 CFI Switchback when stock and now even with a very strong SLP pipe. I can really feel the extra HP kick in with the SLP pipe from 7500 rpm to 8400 rpm.

The 2010 600 CFI 2 Dragon Switchback felt like it was on rails around corners, especially a very bumpy trail.

Was wondering the exact same thing. What's the story behind this 2010 model doing the racing? All I've seen & heard about is the Rush.

What are you talking about? 2010 models? I'm guessing your talking about 2009 models in which case the 600 is a 4 injector

The 2009 shift 136 600 switchback was a 600 2 inj(as were the 09 shift 600 RMK's) which you must know if you own one and there are most likely test riders/reps running around with the '10 demos already as Polaris has done this for as long as I can remember with the models that just get BNG.

Rich. How's your snow situation out there now? I am going riding with Richard tomorrow and Saturday. There is a lot more snow here than there was your way when we left. I rode last weekend in the Turtle Mountains in the southwestern corner of Manitoba and the snow was awesome. Trails were a lot like in Wisconsin with winding not so tight corners and a lot of elevation changes. I put 127 miles on one tank and am not empty yet.

Rich knows a lot of people and has a lot of connections in his neck of the woods. Good to hear the report and I hope that this model doesn't get tamed down for production.

You wouldn't think that the rush is going to be the only 600 do ya? I'm sure there will be 4 different sleds with 600's in them. Polaris usually tip toes into new models just so guys have other options if they don't like them.
