Marginal at best. I'm going over tomorrow but only because I'm close.

Thought about trying somewhere east?

That's what I was figuring. I'm giving Tuscarora a try tomorrow - it's more in line with the heavyest snow bands and About an hour closer for me. Can't believe how quiet the websites are..... either everyone is riding, given up, or just keeping quiet about conditions. Have a good ride. B.

Took a short ride north tonight from 31 to Walats and back. I would say the conditions are leaning on the fair side. Tunnel road wasn't bare and Beam was ok. A lot of open water holes but not terribly thin overall in the trails. Up top on the plateuas above the turnpike are thin because of wind. Laurel Summit was decent coming back. The only trail that we were on that may be bombed out soon is the gas line heading to the turnpike from Tunnel. I've ridden LH twice before tonight this year. It wasn't any worse tonight than those times, but considering the year, that's not saying much. Bottom line, if you want to get a ride in and can take it easy a bit, got for it.

They're panning and doing the best they can. Lots of gravel coming up through now. It's riding. But there's a good bit of grinding.

Headed up Friday night - 31 side of the turnpike bridge is marginal at best the whole way to County Line Rd. The Rt30 side was better but getting beat down; some trails were decent others just so/so. Hickory Flats and Laurel Mountain Road smooth and fast (some ice).....Last ride better than no ride. If its a matter of miles unload at 30 and buzz around on the main roads.

Roads and trails in Babcock State Park were excellent this morning. Good base with a fresh coating on top. SGL 26 started getting thin in the afternoon but definitely an awesome late season ride!
