what date does vast close trails for the year? - HCS Snowmobile Forums

I can't remember and can't find when vast closes the trails for the year on their website anywhere. how much time is left of this season, whats the close date?

really? april fools day, thats...thats... something, not ironic I guess, but it's gotta be some fancy word. anyway, a month and a half possible left makes me feel better about driving past grassy fields.

Actually April 15th. I have seen some years when they close sooner due to conditions.

And Vast doesn't care if it snows after they close the trails, they will remain closed. This happened about 3 years back when most of VT. received about 15 inches of snow and Vast already closed the trails and they remained closed..

The closing date is April 16th

The trails are open from December 16th to April 15th. They are closed in between.

You can ride all day April 15th until midnight...legally

It's under Title 23 of the Vermont Statutes. Look under the heading of "Definitions".

Yes it is the 16th. We close our gates that morning snow or no snow, by then it is time to put the sleds away and pull out the chainsaws and tractor to start hauling wood for next winter
