Sweet pics!! Wish i knew my way around Maine a bit better so i knew how to get to these places

It's easy. Post when you have plans to come up to the Jackman/Forks area. Let the people here know where you are staying. Someone will step up and let you tag along. Back in 2003 thru 2006 I would jump in my pickup and head to the forks because my friends were once again to busy. Never once did I not find a great group of people to ride with.

thanks--we usually clinb it 3 or 4 times a year, sweet day to be up there!

Sometimes can be a tricky ride up!

Yes it was probly the clearest I've ever seen up there. Usually it's cloudy up there. And yes it can be very tricky at times especially if there is sleds going both ways at once. I always wondered about being the first guy up after a big storm and having to break the trail. That must be awesome but hairy!

thats good to know.most of the people i used to ride with have dropped it due to the expense.

I usually hang back at mid station and get a heads up from someone coming down on a head count at the summit.

i have seen 5 foot gouges and groomed flat up there--last year met the guys from CMP--they go up at least twice a week, with SWT Skandic's--one guy was buried--we shoveled him out for an hour, 10 people drove right past him, he was buried!
The buildding at the top houeses the cell service for the Harris and Wyman Dam Hydo sites.

Great photos! My goal this year is to be lucky enough to get up there and not have it be snowing haha.
