Default Brownville Millinocket Jo Mary

Hey everyone, we are scheduled to go up to Brownville and stay at Wildwoods. I am a little nervous due to the weather being warm today and tomorrow. Can anyone riding up there this week give me some updates as we get closer? We will go further north if needed.

We rode that area on friday, there was plenty of snow but the trails were a little rough because the wildwoods groomer was down.
They were installing a repaired radiator on friday afternoon so it should be up and running now.
The parking lot is starting to get muddy but there should be plenty of snow everywhere else.

I rode 109 in the Jo-Mary system late Sun PM. It was very nice. I too will be interested in updates after Mon & Tues with very warm temps....

my bet would be that JoMary trails remain good for a few weeks if they can get out on them, which should happen this week

It is supposed to be cold after today and it has been below freezing at night. I hope they groom them up as I see this may be my last ride of the season. We are staying at Wildwoods on Friday and Saturday so I am hoping for a good end to the season.

2 or 3 years ago we skipped work and we rode that area in mid April....parked where the 111 crosses Rte 11 and headed into JoMary system. there's a hill you can climb behind the Wilkie Mtns off the Gauntlet Falls trail. There's a fire tower at top of Ragged Mtn just past X-over trail to 109. if you go to BPond and hang a left you go to KI...hang a right and you can follow 110 up around to B52 site. take a copy of Delormes map atlas so you can navigate unplowed ungroomed road system. bring gas or plan to get it at Kokadjo, Millinocket or abol bridge.

Rode from Schoodic to Millinocket and back today. Wildwoods trail to 111, Crossover trail to 109 then the downtown trail. Wildwoods trail and 109 were in good shape but 111 was a washboard for the majority of the time we were on it. 90 miles on March 21 so I will take it. Suppose to be cold next couple of days so if the trails get groomed tonight they should set up good !

I am a little disappointed to read that Oxbow went out for the last time this season yesterday. That is an important area if you want to go north from Shin Pond

Seems premature to me... they might get snow tomorrow up there! Whatever.
