Default Turner Vintage One Lunger Race

It is an awesome take and it is Saturday morning.
We are going to ride out there for some food and to watch some of the races. There are some really great old sleds thể and a great track.

It is an important fundraiser for that club and really well done. They have some vendors and food too.
I think they cancelled it last year...no snow. Not a problem this year. Support them if you can.

Thanks. I am familiar with that area. Maybe take a trek over there with a group of friends. Is river safe to cross or is there a bridge?

My understanding is the river crossing is now at the Turner game preserve and runs to/thru Schrepps store-redemption. Im trying to confirm what trail leads to that river crossing and right where it is and I will post it if I do.

Im not familiar with the area but think it might be club 32 off 87 looking at the map.

The river is being run from Lewiston to Leeds just after Center Bridge Road. You can cross in Lewiston and go over to Twitchells airport and run trail from there, or run river down (I always run the east shore, it's easy to navigate) and get off at game preserve when you see the bridge. From the Leeds side you can cross off 87, go under the bridge, and hit the game preserve. From Greene off 87 you can cross almost directly to game preserve. Sorry, don't keep trail numbers to memory but the signage is typically good pointing you towards the river. Should be well run by Saturday, just follow where everyone else has been going.

Channel 8 News just showed the Turner club talking grooming and revenue from snowmobilers.

Nice to see some positive PR.

They have a news crew there broadcasting live bits at the race track. Nice.

Might run up to Col Holmans Lookout from Pikes Oasis in Livermore on the way back. Wife hasnt been up there before.

Not seeing any trails to cross the river directly towards the Lookout from there without running up or down 87 quite a ways. Only thing I see is all the way up to 115 and back around....or the Twin Bridges trail down towards Turner direction but I hear that trail is now closed.

Anyone familiar with Livermore know if there is a connector not on the maps ?
Looking for the shortest route.
