I think the best you can do is a 3 day permit which I believe is $50. Unless something has changed I think that is the shortest duration permit you can get.

Everybody should contribute to grooming. That being said there should be a day pass for rally's and even the folks who go for one day. What would a reasonable price be for a day pass. $20.00. Good for the event and the days ride. Don't mean to hijack the thread but seems like a wreck now anyways. Will take any info to SANS for the future.

Its a good idea to have just day passes for the Rally and might bring more people to the event..This is something that should be brought forward to Sans...

I am gonna clean up this thread a bit as it pertains to the Margaree Rally..

All other discussions about trail permits and the unfair prices will be deleted unless you want to start another thread about trail passes and we can move the discussion there.

There is a new thread started about Club Rallies and Trail passes...

People shouldn't have to read about 4 pages about why they are not going when this event is for the ones that are. This thread is for directions, lodging and helping get fellow sledders together and is a fundraiser for the Club and meant to have fun.

It is not for complaining about the Price of Trail passes.

They are thinking about changing the route to lower lands if it hits hard, is what I heard. I don't think they would ever cancel, I remember a few years ago being down there in a big storm and nothing was cancelled. Just had to stay an extra night.

The rally is still on as scheduled. Volunteers are meeting tonight to consider various routes and also so we can avoid open windy areas as much as possible in case of the storm.

Friday looks good for people to travel, Saturday snow shoulod start later in the day and into the evening and should clear Sunday afternoon for those traveling home. We are not the weather people so keep in mind thats only our perdiction at this time, considering the various forcasts. If anything changes we will post here otherwise we move forward. We have been doing this event for 25 years without once having to cancil due to weather. Come join us and enjoy the new snow, Drive Safe
