what does it take to swap the engine in this sled, the stater and ignition is bad on the original , im going to replace the engine with another 440 and use the original for parts
is there anything i should be warned about these engines? what are the steps to replace the engine? |

Your question needs more info included. What year engine are you replacing, 1980? what engine are you replacing it with, make, model, and year.

not that hard to do, first drain all the coolant, then rad, hoses and wires, carbs, pipes and stuff like that, pull the clutch off and there will be a bunch of bolts behind there, thn the other engine mounts.
not hard but you wil need a clutch puller and bled the oil system when puttin it back in. |

I think Sledaholic meant for you to be more specific as in: What model of 1980 Kawasaki do you have? Intruder, Invader, etc? Also, what model engine are you trying to swap in? Intruder, Invader, etc? It is almost impossible to swap a liquid-cooled engine into a fan chassis.
