I am going to buy a new set in blue to match my viper.
What are you guys wearing?
I was on eBay Klim manufactures a lot of different lines of sledding clothing. Just a little confusing when you don't exactly know what you're looking at.
Noncurrent tomahawk parka the most of the year under it inferno midlayer with thermal long sleeve tshirt. If colder Everest midlayer instead of the inferno vector pants but honestly theyr too insulated for me but nice pants. Power cross gloves and adrenaline boots. Unless riding all high speed big trails. I'd recommend doing and uninsulated parka. Makes it so much more flexible
I was thinking insulated. Damn that Klim stuff looks good!
I am replacing a leather choko suit. Funny pants don't fit any more. Well they fit but I can't bend over with the pants on. Lol. The leather must have shrunk! Must have!
I am also looking for new Klim gear but am a bit undecided about buying the uninsulated mountain jacket and bibs. I was wondering if others who mainly trail ride for the entire day in cold weather have had luck with the uninsulated mountain setup of the outer layer plus the mid layer.
i've got keweenaw bibs and jacket, they are insulated. i trail ride and play off trail. if you go uninsulated you have to wear klim mid and base layers for best performance! if you go insulated you can get away with out the klim under layers unless it's very cold, which will save you some cash
Same here, I was looking at non-insulated but figured I would need to wear a base layer so decided on the Keweenaw. I wore long sleeve tee shirt and long underwear under the klim most of last winter, more comfortable than heavy jeans and layers of shirts, parka has great vents for the warm days. The price was a hard pill to take but looking back I should have done it long ago.
I took the plunge last spring keweenaw bibs and jacket, should have done it long ago!!
FYI Jacket did run a little small...I usually wear a Med ,(#165, 5'9) but needed a large in the Klim!! Like others said long johns and long sleeve shirt was all that was required!! (No cotton)
Togwotee pants, and a Valdez jacket on colder days, when above -15 degrees Celsius i go with a thinner PowerXross pullover jacket.
I adjust insulation using wool-products of different thickness and layers depending of temperature, beats any insulation any given day from my point of view.
Klimate pants, jacket and gloves. The gloves will be upgraded this year, not bad, but I'm going to try the summit this year.
My favorite Klim riding gear is my inferno pants. Those things are so dang comfy, can't say enough good about them. Never spent much on midlayer before...these pants are wicked..i will never wear jeans under bibs again. :buttrock:
I had a klim klimate jacket and bibs. I have since upgraded the jacket to the togotee uninsulated jacket and a set of extreme bibs. I still have the klimate bibs too. Since owning the uninsulated gear, I won't go back to insulated gear. I can ride with togotee jacket and only wearing a t-shirt while riding I am very comfortable and a pair of athletic pants under my bibs. I mainly ride in Wisconsin and do a mix of trail riding and off trail riding.
