Default Anyone know anything about Yamaha motorcycles?

I have a 2002 Yamaha v-star 650. I rode it three weeks ago. I went to start it up today and it won't fire. Everything is where it should be. Battery was charged. I messed around with the wires around the battery and played with the kill switch and it fired once and then quit again and wouldn't fire again. Any info is much appreciated. Really didn't want to have to go make an account on a motorcycle forum for this.

I have a 95 Virago 1100. Had the bar mounted kill switch act up once. Sounds like you may have an issue with the wire harness if it fired after you messed with it. Can you pop start the bike?

Confirm spark and fuel first.

Messed around with it some more today. There is a little box on the right next to the battery with a plug-in and two 30 amp fuses. I pulled the plug in and fuses out. Cleaned them off and put some di-electric grease on everything. The machine fired right up afterwards. Pretty weird but it must have gotten dust inside the box.

As posted above, I go simple. That is clean fuel, spark, air.
