Default 04 pro xr 800

Well I finally managed to get my hands on my dream sled.
Picked up a XR 800 in great shape. Only needed a few minor parts, motor mount, exhaust gasket. and a good cleaning.

A few questuions for the pro xr Pros.

It came with twin D&D pipes, y pipe and can. How is the performance / sound of this system? it has the stock pipe and mbrp can on it now.

acording to the seller he says the stock pipe and mbrp fart can makes the best power. I thaught it would be much louder then it is

also looking to add reverse to it, from what ive read i need a perc switch and new helix???? anyone help me out on this one with part numbers?

it has a small rip in the seat which has been repaired but i am looking for a new seat cover ??? anyone have one around?? or would be interested in my old one ??

Also any suggested MUST do mods on these sweet rides???

i wasnt aware that d&d made pipes for polaris? i always thought they were just cat?stock pipe leaves alot to be desired and adding a can makes it worse, if you want good power with low noise slp single pipe is th way to go, slp torque arm is a good up grade and slp motor mounts, get your clutch balanced and do some clutch work and you'll have a awsome sled

Even if the pipes aren't D&D's, I wouldn't run twins for trail riding. From all I've read, theyre pretty finicky. I can't remember if it was ebay or where but I did see a NOS seat cover for that exact sled somewhere. Do a search on Google. Those sleds are one of my dream sleds also, each dealer only got 1.

If you sled doesnt have perc now you need a perc set up, includes a different helix/spring perc button. Tach I think (for the perc light ) and a different Cdi so it spins the motor backwards. You need to do the slp push arm and torque arm and I highly sugget the wide bearing kit for crank. Do a search everything on the 800 has been discussed multiple amounts of times.
