Default Fusion Instrument Display Won't Change Modes

My instrument dispaly will not change modes between temp, mph, and kph. Right now, it is stuck on KPH, the only one I don't use.

Any ideas what could be wrong? Switch?

More concerned about engine temps at start up!

Thinking about a day ride on Sunday -- are you up for that Mr. Hankel?

I think I could fit that into my schedule Have you tried pressing/holding the mode or set button for more than 10 seconds when on KPH screen? Maybe that might break up the electronic log jam going on.....

If you already tried changing from kph to mph by holding the button you might need a new switch

Replaced the switch and that didn't correct the problem. Anybody have any other ideas?

Well, finally tracked the issue down. There was a small hard spot in the black conduit surrounding the wires on a section of the harness running up the hood. It appears that the area touched the pipe or was close enough to melt the wires inside the conduit. After separating all of the wires and repairing a couple, the MFD now works and switches between all modes. The wiring harness was not affixed properly in the grommet that holds it to the hood (grommet was actually broke).

A frustrating find. Talked to many dealers and all said they had never seen this problem. They also said they usually would have issues in the switch, wiring, or connectors for any MFD related issues, but none said they replaced the MFD head display unit on the hood. Therefore, before you look at buying a new switch or MFD head unit, make sure to track the wire harness for any issues and make sure to clean any connectors. It'll save you money on any unneeded switches.

If anyone needs a switch (Polaris PN 2010290), let me know. I have a brand new one that'll I'll sell for $45 including shipping. ($57 at the dealer).
