Last year for the 600 Indy triple was 1987, the exception being the XLT/XCR motored sleds.

The early 83-87 600 indy hoods and belly pans will not interchange with the later 87 on wedge hoods. Seen guys interchange chaincases, motors, shafts, skids, clutches and other items between those year sleds.

I put several 88 up hoods/nosecones along with the correct hinges, braces etc on 87 and older Indys. They fit right on. No problems whatsoever mating to older bellypans.

i might sound like an idiot but from 1988 to 1993 there were no triple 600s? or do u mean there were other sleds with the Xlt monoblock before 1993?

From 88 to 95 or so the 650 was produced. Triple seperate cylinders and heads cylinders. Full production on the XLT monobloc motor started in 93.

That's correct, no triple 600's from 1987 till 1995, and then those were the mono-block XLT design.
XLT's had a limited build in 1992 as a 580, (579).
