Default SC10 - 1 rear arm shock

I have the skid out of my 96 MXZ and the rear shock will only compress about 2 inches, there is lots of rod still extended (3-4" or so) center to center length is 17" and compressed is about 15".
Sure looks like it should have more.
Doesnt seem like the travel range needs much more than the 2".

Also is this a gas charged shock or just normal bi-directional dampening?

The shock is blown. Some can be rebuilt, others not so. You will need a new one.
