Default 05 MXZX Gauges Don't Work

I just bought a 05 mxz and found that the gauges wont work. Headlights work fine and odometer work fine just no tach and speedo. Got another relay and more fuses and switched them all and still nothing. anyone have any ideas??

Disconnect the connectors and check them for corrosion. Not likely since they are pretty much protected by the sled body. Securely fasten them and start it up. If this doesn't work disconnect the ECM and check it and the connector contacts for corrosion. Clean if necessary/reconnect and start her up.

Fixed?

Replace the relay under the console, don't buy the Doo one they want $35 for it. Just go to napa and get it for $5.

I believe he did that already. I get off work in about an hour. When I get home I'll look at the wiring diagram and see if I can help some more.

Default gauges

Read the voltage off the battery, what is it? Do both gauges fail to light up? Does on light and not the other? Let us know and we can go to the next step.

I went to a friends place and grabbed his tach, speedo and relay off of his 07 800 and come to find out my speedo is toast. i plug my tach in with his speedo and everything works. Weird but that is what my conclusion is. Does it sound right, the tach has to run through the speedometer??

That's exactly how it's wired. I was hoping your battery was low and needed charging. If you haven't bought one yet check these guys out. OEM equipment and the cheapest I have found.

There is also a salvage yard not far from me I deal with frequently, I give him a call if you want. Send me a PM.
